 After two days of conference sessions, exhibitor presentations and interaction on the exhibit floor, Carbon TradeEx America came to a close at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. Attendees noted a serious commitment to embrace steps towards a “cap and trade” system in the U.S. Jointly organized by Koelnmesse, Inc. and the Carbon Markets & Investors Association (CMIA) it brought together more than 864 company representatives, consultants and other delegates. More than 96 companies supported the event as exhibitors and partners.
Delegates heard a detailed and passionate pledge from Nancy Sutley, Chair of the White House Council of Environmental Quality, outlining the priorities of the Administration’s climate change policy.

 Amidst frigid -42F temperatures, government representatives, technology providers, academia, bioenergy producers, financiers, and media gathered from March 10 to 12 in Regina, Saskatchewan, for the second annual Canadian Renewable Energy Workshop to discuss the technical side of the Canadian bioenergy industry.
200 attendees from across Canada and the United States participated in 34 presentations on the technical and financial opportunities and challenges in the bioenergy industries
